ABOUT THE FOUNDER:
SAULE

The 'Lone Wolf' Trap Fatherhood changes the gears on your life. Suddenly, your time isn't your own, your social circle shrinks, and it becomes incredibly easy to slip into the "lone wolf" mentality. The usual advice is to go sit in a circle, stare at each other, and open up about it. That doesn't work for us. Men don't connect by sitting face-to-face. We connect when we’re looking at a dartboard, a race track, or a fairway.

The Catalyst In 2018, I packed up my life in Bedfordshire and moved to Burgess Hill. I did it for the best reason possible—I’d met the woman who is now my wife and the mother of our son. But leaving my hometown meant leaving behind a social circle I’d built since childhood.

Distance started dictating my social life. Making events back home became a massive effort, squeezed in around a busy work schedule. Then, we got married, had our boy, and that gap widened even further. I realised I was completely isolated. The only people I knew locally were through my wife. For a naturally social guy, I found myself entirely out of my comfort zone.

I love being a dad. But the truth is, we all need a break. We need time to unwind and switch off so we can go back home and be better men, better husbands, and better fathers.

Active Recovery I couldn't find a local group that didn't feel like a forced, awkward chat circle. So, I built The Dad Social.

Headquartered in Burgess Hill and running across Sussex, we aren't here for a soft playdate. We are here to win. Whether it’s dropping the clutch at a Sim Racing Grand Prix, throwing axes, or competing in a Darts League, we build curated, high-quality events.

You turn up, you compete, you switch off. It’s about getting a hit of adrenaline, some decent banter, and the desire to be the "Man to Beat." It clears the head better than a pint ever could.

Our goal is simple: we champion Active Recovery to stop burnout in its tracks. We punch through life’s daily stresses with proper, shoulder-to-shoulder competition, giving you the hard reset you need to go home a better man, a better partner, and a better dad.

Welcome to the Grid.
